1. What We Collect

AtlanticNote collects a minimal and carefully scoped set of technical data during your visit. This data falls into two categories: data that is automatically recorded by standard web-server infrastructure, and data that you voluntarily provide by contacting us.

Automatic technical data: your IP address (truncated to the last octet for anonymisation), the type and version of your browser, the operating system you are using, the date and time of your request, and the URL you requested. This data is retained in server access logs for a maximum of fourteen days before automatic deletion. It is used solely to diagnose technical faults, monitor for security anomalies, and ensure service availability. It is not used for profiling, advertising, or any form of personalisation.

Voluntary contact data: if you send us an email at [email protected], we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any additional information you choose to include. We retain this data only as long as is necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period, after which it is permanently deleted. We do not add contact email addresses to any mailing list, and we do not share them with third parties.

2. What We Do Not Collect

AtlanticNote does not collect or store the following under any circumstances: your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, payment information of any kind, device identifiers (IMEI, IDFA, GAID), precise geolocation data, biometric data, health data, or data about children under 18. Because AtlanticNote requires no account registration, we hold no credentials, no profile data, and no history associated with a named individual.

The game itself (credit total, bet level, session outcomes) operates entirely within your browser's memory and localStorage. This data is never transmitted to AtlanticNote's servers, is not accessible to us, and is automatically discarded when your session ends or your browser's storage is cleared. We have no visibility into your game activity whatsoever.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

AtlanticNote uses a small number of browser-side storage mechanisms to make the experience functional across page loads. These include a session-consent flag (recording whether you have completed the age-gate and accepted or declined cookies), stored in both a first-party cookie and localStorage for cross-page persistence across both HTTPS and file:// browsing contexts. These flags expire after 180 days.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party cookies of any kind. We do not embed social media share buttons, embedded videos, or any other third-party widget that would cause your browser to contact an external domain during a normal visit. The only external resources loaded are the Google Fonts stylesheet (CSS, no tracking), Font Awesome icons (CSS, no tracking), and the Bootstrap grid CSS from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. These are static CSS files; they do not set cookies and do not log your visit to AtlanticNote's servers.

For a complete inventory of cookies used, including their names, purposes, and expiry windows, see our Cookie Policy.

4. Third-Party Processors

AtlanticNote uses a small number of third-party service providers in the course of operating this website. These are limited to: our web-hosting provider (a Canadian-registered company providing server infrastructure), Cloudflare (content-delivery network used to serve the Bootstrap and Font Awesome CSS files from cdnjs.cloudflare.com), and Google Fonts (served directly from fonts.googleapis.com for typeface loading). None of these providers receive personal data about individual visitors from AtlanticNote, and none of them are engaged for advertising or analytics purposes on our behalf.

We have not engaged any analytics platform (including Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, or any equivalent product). We have not engaged any advertising network, demand-side platform, or retargeting vendor. We have not connected AtlanticNote to any CRM, marketing automation tool, or data management platform.

5. How We Use the Data

The minimal data we collect is used for one purpose only: ensuring that AtlanticNote operates reliably and securely. Server logs are reviewed when a technical fault is reported or when automated monitoring detects an anomaly (e.g., an unusual volume of requests suggesting a scraping attempt or a distributed attack). Contact emails are read and responded to by a member of the AtlanticNote team. No data is used for commercial purposes, and no data is used to influence the content or mechanics shown to you during your visit.

6. Data Retention

Server access logs: 14 days, then automatic deletion. Email correspondence: retained only as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry; deleted within 90 days of final response. Browser-side cookies and localStorage: 180 days from consent, controlled entirely by your browser. You may clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data for this domain.

7. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's equivalent provincial framework, you have the right to: access any personal information AtlanticNote holds about you; correct inaccurate information; withdraw consent at any time (note: this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing); and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your rights have been violated.

If you are located in a jurisdiction covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or a comparable framework (e.g., UK GDPR, Quebec Law 25), you have additional rights including the right to erasure, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 calendar days. Because we hold almost no personal data, most erasure requests can be completed immediately.

8. Security

AtlanticNote is served exclusively over HTTPS. Server access is restricted to named individuals within our studio using key-based authentication. Server logs are stored in an access-controlled environment and are not accessible to third parties. Email correspondence is stored in an encrypted mailbox. We apply software updates on a regular cycle to address known vulnerabilities. We do not store payment data because we do not process payments.

9. International Transfers

Our web-hosting infrastructure is located in Canada. The Cloudflare CDN may serve CSS files from nodes distributed globally; however, no personal data is passed to Cloudflare, and Cloudflare's role is limited to delivering static CSS files. Google Fonts is served from Google's global infrastructure; again, no personal data from AtlanticNote is transmitted, and the connection is a standard CSS file request. We do not transfer any personal data internationally as part of our operational activities.

10. Policy Changes

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page and publish the revised policy at this URL. Material changes are those that affect what data we collect, how we use it, or with whom we share it. Non-material changes (clarifications, corrections to formatting) may be made without notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of AtlanticNote after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

AtlanticNote was founded in 2025. This is the original Privacy Policy for the platform. It has been reviewed and confirmed in May 2026.

11. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy or about your personal data should be directed to our studio at the address below. We do not have a dedicated Data Protection Officer because we do not conduct large-scale processing of personal data; queries are handled directly by a studio founder.
