1. Free-Play Only — No Real Money
AtlanticNote is a free social entertainment application. No payment of any kind is required or accepted to access any part of the website or the game experience. Virtual credits displayed within the game are point counters with no monetary value. They cannot be deposited, withdrawn, converted to cash, exchanged for goods or services, or redeemed in any form whatsoever. Any credit total shown in the interface is a display value only, maintained locally in your browser, and has no relationship to any real-world financial instrument.
AtlanticNote operates as a free-to-play entertainment product under Canadian consumer software law. It is not a gambling service, a lottery, a sweepstakes, a contest of chance with prizes, or any other regulated gaming activity. No element of AtlanticNote requires or constitutes the payment of consideration in exchange for a chance at a prize.
2. Age Restriction
AtlanticNote is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. The visual presentation of the platform — including reel-grid mechanics, symbol-match outcomes, and credit accumulation — involves themes and aesthetics that are associated with adult entertainment. By accessing this website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you must leave this website immediately and are not permitted to use any part of the service.
We implement an age-gate as the first interaction layer on every visit, requiring users to confirm they are 18+ before accessing any content. This gate persists via browser storage for 180 days. Parents and guardians are encouraged to use browser-level parental controls if they share devices with minors.
3. Nature of the Service (Not a Gaming Service)
AtlanticNote is an interactive entertainment application — a creative software product, not a regulated gaming platform. Under Ontario's Gaming Control Act, 2021, a "gaming site" is defined in connection with gaming conducted for profit or prizes. AtlanticNote generates no profit from gameplay, awards no prizes, and accepts no deposits or wagers. Accordingly, it does not fall within the scope of provincial gaming regulation. The platform's use of reel-animation mechanics and symbol-matching scoring is a design choice for entertainment purposes and does not constitute gambling under any applicable Canadian statute.
If you are looking for a real-money gaming platform, you should visit a service licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) or an equivalent provincial authority in your jurisdiction. AtlanticNote is not affiliated with any such service.
4. Acceptable Use
You may access and enjoy AtlanticNote for personal, non-commercial entertainment. The following activities are prohibited: attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the game's source code or assets for redistribution; attempting to manipulate the game mechanics or credit system through automated tools, bots, or code injection; using the website to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful software; impersonating AtlanticNote or any of its team members; and accessing the website in violation of any applicable law.
AtlanticNote reserves the right to block access to any user who violates these terms, including by blocking IP addresses or user agents associated with automated access patterns.
5. Intellectual Property
All original content on AtlanticNote — including the game design, the Joker Wizard mechanic, the laboratory visual identity, the AtlanticNote wordmark, the CSS, the game JavaScript, and all written content — is the intellectual property of AtlanticNote Studio. All rights are reserved. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any AtlanticNote-original content without prior written permission.
The six symbol icons used in the reel grid are derived from the Twemoji set published by Twitter / @jdecked under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) licence. The Bootstrap grid CSS is provided by the Bootstrap Authors under the MIT licence. Font Awesome icons are used under the Font Awesome Free licence. Google Fonts are subject to the SIL Open Font Licence where applicable. These third-party licences govern only their respective assets and do not extend to any AtlanticNote-original content.
6. Liability Disclaimer
AtlanticNote is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty, express or implied. AtlanticNote Studio does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AtlanticNote Studio disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including any loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits. Because no real money is involved and no purchases are possible, your potential financial loss from using AtlanticNote is zero.
7. Privacy and Cookies
Your use of AtlanticNote is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. Please read them carefully.
8. Responsible Play
AtlanticNote is committed to supporting healthy play habits. Our Play Wisely page contains a full responsible-play guide, including self-check questions, warning signs to watch for, and direct links to free, confidential support organisations. If you find that AtlanticNote — or any other entertainment or gaming product — is affecting your wellbeing, please review that resource and consider contacting a support organisation.
9. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to any conflicts-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's law. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or AtlanticNote's services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada. If you access AtlanticNote from another jurisdiction, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
10. Changes to These Terms
AtlanticNote Studio may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a material change has been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. These Terms of Use were first published in 2025 and last reviewed in May 2026. No substantive amendments have been made to date.
